From Termini Railway Station:

Getting around in Rome

Metro tickets can be bought directly at metro stations. Bus tickets can be bought in all tobacconists (tabaccherie) with a “T” sign outside, and from newsagents. Remember to buy your ticket and take it to a machine to be stamped.
